Mrs. Kalesia McKnight grew up in Lanett, Alabama. She attended Troy University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master's degree in School Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

This year marks Mrs. McKnight's 10th year in education. She has taught kindergarten, first, and second grade, and spent the past several years as a School Counselor. Mrs. McKnight is currently the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Kings Chapel Elementary School.

Mrs. McKnight is married to Jon McKnight, and together they have three children. She enjoys traveling, shopping, watching college football (WAR EAGLE!), and spending time with her family. Mrs. McKnight is excited to continue building relationships with students and fostering their love for learning. She is committed to creating a nurturing environment that promotes student achievement both in and outside of the classroom.
