Bio

Hi! My name is Jordan Manning and I absolutely love what I get to wake up and do each day. Caring for children has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I have always wanted to be around them as much as I could. I believe that elementary teachers play an important role in setting children up for success and it is my goal to do just that. Our classroom is a place where each child can feel safe making mistakes, confident in trying new things, and positive that they are loved beyond measure.

I grew up in Hawkinsville, Georgia and attended The Westfield School in Perry from Kindergarten to Senior Year. I then attended college at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I moved to Houston County as soon as I graduated from college in 2016. That same year I married my high school sweetheart and began my teaching career. We have recently extended our family and welcomed our first child, a little girl. Since beginning my career in education, I have obtained my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. I taught Pre-K for three years before making the move to my current position as a Kindergarten teacher. I can't wait to make this my best year yet!

When I'm not at school you can find me outside, traveling, or spending time with my daughter. Some things that I love to do most would be reading, running, playing sports, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I chose this career in order to have a positive impact on the lives of young children just as my elementary teachers did for me. Teaching is my passion and I love that each day presents activities and opportunities for my children to love learning!
