Bio
Hi! My name is Jordan Manning and I absolutely love what I get to wake up and do each day. Caring for children has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I have always wanted to be around them as much as I could. I believe that elementary teachers play an important role in setting children up for success and it is my goal to do just that. Our classroom is a place where each child can feel safe making mistakes, confident in trying new things, and positive that they are loved beyond measure.
I grew up in Hawkinsville, Georgia and attended The Westfield School in Perry from Kindergarten to Senior Year. I then attended college at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I moved to Houston County as soon as I graduated from college in 2016. That same year I married my high school sweetheart and began my teaching career. Since beginning my career in education, I have obtained my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. I taught Pre-K for three years before making the move to my current position as a Kindergarten teacher. I can't wait to make this my best year yet!
When I'm not at school you can find me outside, traveling, or spending quality time with my daughter and my son. Some things that I love to do most would be reading, running, playing sports, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I chose this career in order to have a positive impact on the lives of young children just as my elementary teachers did for me. Teaching is my passion and I love that each day presents activities and opportunities for my children to love learning!
