Bio
Hi! I am so excited to start my 21st year of teaching. I graduated from Valdosta State University where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education. After I graduated, I married Derek Peters and began my teaching career teaching the 2nd grade at Quitman Elementary. After 2 years, we moved and I taught 1st grade at Taylor County Elementary and had my first child, Spence. I also received my Master's degree in Educational Technology. We moved, yet again, to Lawrenceville where I taught 2nd grade at Norcross Elementary and Cedar Hills Elementary. During that time I had 2 more boys, Eli and Ty. We eventually moved back home, and I taught 3rd grade at Macon County Elementary. We finally settled here in Perry where I taught 2nd and 4th grade at Tucker Elementary and later moved to KCES. Wow, that's a lot of moving, but I am so happy to be at KCES. I recently earned my Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I love the people I work with and the kids who brighten my day. I try hard every day to make a difference in each child's life that I come in contact with. Learning is fun! It makes us smarter and more powerful. My only rules in my class are to Work Hard and Be Kind. If that can happen, success is inevitable.
