Music Teacher

Rachel Green

Bio

Ms. Green's dream of becoming a Music Teacher came true in 2021 when she graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from Young Harris College (Go Mountain Lions!). She started her career in Bibb County where she taught Elementary Music for three years and served as PBIS Coach for two of those years before joining Kings Chapel Elementary School. Being from a family of teachers, one of Ms. Green's favorite things about teaching Music is being able to help her students see how Music is connected to Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Art, and PE.

Ms. Green and her 3-year-old Golden Retriever, Charlie, reside in Byron. She is a proud dance aunt to her two nieces, Sarah and Sophie. Ms. Green sings with Lux, an advanced treble choir based in Northeast Georgia and is involved in her church's Music Ministry singing in the Chancel Choir and directing the Children's Choir. Ms. Green loves coffee, Dr. Pepper, jogging, playing tennis, visiting the mountains, spending time with friends and family, and sharing her love of music with others. Ms. Green strives to build the confidence in her students to dance like nobody's watching and follow the beat of their own drum!
