Bio

Education:

I am a proud product of the Houston County School system! I grew up in Perry, Georgia and attended Perry Elementary, Perry Middle, and Perry High. My bachelor’s degree is in Early Childhood and Special Education from Macon State College. I have a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University. I also have a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.

Experience:
I began my teaching career as a Special Education pre-k teacher and an interrelated teacher in Houston County. I then went on to teach Mild Intellectual Disabled students in 2015. Currently, I am teaching 4th grade at KCES!

Why I Teach:
Who would have thought that me playing school as a 6 year old girl would flourish into a career?  I have held this passion for teaching all my life! I truly believe that there are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the satisfaction I get from being a teacher.  Every day there is a chance to impact a student and lead them to a path of success and purpose.  My greatest goal is to instill a love of learning in all my students! I only have one hundred and eighty days to make a positive impact in my students’ lives!

Personal Life:
I married my husband, Shane Hall, in June of 2013. We have a sweet baby boy and a cocker spaniel. In our free time we enjoy hanging out with friends and family, getting involved in church activities, and being outdoors. I also enjoy doing crafts such as making jewelry, sewing, and tackling a Pinterest project on the weekends.
