I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. My father was a retired college professor, architect and church organist; my mother is a music teacher and concert accordionist. I started studying music at age 5 with the San Juan Children's Choir, and toured to Panama (Central America), Florida, Washington D.C. and Maryland. I hold a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Vocal Performance, with a minor in Theatre & Dance from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. As an exchange student, I took voice lessons at the Vienna Conservatory of Music in Vienna, Austria (Europe). I am a classical singer, play piano, guitar, concert flute and recorders, compose and arrange music. I also dance and teach ballet and jazz dance, drama and musical theatre. I recently completed my Masters Degree in Music Education from Kent State University.

I have taught High School Music, Dance and Drama at Commonwealth High School in Puerto Rico; General Music and Chorus at Perry Middle School. I have been teaching music at Kings Chapel Elementary since 2007. I look forward to helping each student find and develop their hidden talents. Music is the universal language, and by learning about music from different styles, periods and cultures, I hope our children learn to respect and appreciate all the different flavors that make America special!
